Bellevue Community College encourages the use of World Wide Web
as a means for increasing access to college services, information
and learning. The Web Services Office supports this effort by providing
assistance and guidance in three distinct areas:
- All BCC offices have the option
to develop and host a website representing their program or department.
Web Services staff persons are available to meet with you or with
you and your site developer to help plan your site and/or answer
questions about the Web development process on campus. If you
prefer to work on your own, information about college page standards
and site requirements are outlined in then
the BCC Web Publishing
Guide. It is strongly recommended that you meet with Web Services
staff to review this information before beginning your project.
- All new websites are required to
be reviewed by a Web Services staff person before the site will
be approved for publishing on the campus Web servers. The review
process includes checking for compliancy with page
standards, proper
use of the BCC logo, information
accessibility and all other college policies and requirements.
- Set up a website review session by
contacting Web Services at webmaster@bcc.ctc.edu
or by phoning 425/ 564-2459 or 425/ 564-2487. Bring your website
on a Zip disk. BCC websites may not be hosted on commercial sites
apart from the college. These are not recognized sites of Bellevue
Community College.
- Web Services is responsible for
managing the content and page development of the BCC public website
(www.bcc.ctc.edu) and all other official sites of the college
including portals and Intranets. Management of these sites include
setting standards for style, college information, college logo
usage and technical page accessibility.
