Mission

The Division of Information Resources strives to meet the ever-changing technological needs of students, faculty, and staff by incorporating the newest technologies with innovative, quality infrastructure and services to positively affect campus workflow with minimal budgetary impact to the institution. This focus includes leadership and management of:

  • campus computing
  • online instruction and courseware
  • course development
  • curriculum development and design
  • employee training
  • college infrastructure
  • television and radio broadcasting
  • public information
  • production services in audio, video, multimedia and Web
  • information technology standards and oversight
  • Web and application development

 

Information Resources executes this mission by:

  • fostering an atmosphere of freely exchanged information and ideas;
  • empowering users to be critical thinkers and effective, knowledgeable users of information technology
  • encouraging a quality educational environment which stimulates leadership, responsibility and personal growth;
  • maintaining a regional leadership role in developing innovative and technologically-advanced programs and services;
  • supporting college curriculum and business operations through the use of information technology;
  • managing public service and communications resources for students, staff and the general public including support in video and media production, and
  • public information via the Bellevue Community College public website, cable channel, and radio station.
