TECHNICAL TIPS & FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. Who do I call when a piece of AV equipment in my classroom is broken? A. Call Media Services (a different department) at 2253 or 2249 to report equipment failures. They will replace the broken equipment and send it to us (Media Maintenance) for repair. However, in an "emergency", you may contact us directly at Media Maintenance staff. Q. Who do I call for advice about AV media equipment I plan to purchase, or for help in putting together an electronic presentation system? A. Call Media Maintenance. Q. Who do I call when I need AV equipment set up in a classroom or for a special event? A. If you need audiovisual equipment, a public address system, or a slide or film projector, you may order equipment online from the Library Media Services Web site. Q. Who do I call to schedule the K20 ITV videoconference equipment or a satellite downlink? A. E-mail Liz Anderson at the Distance Education office, or call (425) 641-2438. Q. Who gives training on the use of the electronic media equipment in a classroom? A. Contact Library Media Services for orientation on most AV equipment. Contact Media Maintenance if you need additional technical information about our built-in room systems or to request customized options. |
